Want to build a c3 by sorcca rules!

Hello haven't had any thought about building a c3 until my local comps started running them first. My question would be should I start with a wraith, or get a custom chassis made or I'm open for suggestions my budget for entire build is prob 1000-1500. Thanks

Just my thought but maybe a wraith or RR10 and get the rules from your local club just to see what you think of it first. Nothing wrong with custom I went that way just depends how much of "a labor of love" it is for you.

Also talk to the guys that you will be running with see what they are running...

A wraith is an option, but not the best from a performance standpoint. If you're looking for a max point SORRCA scale comp rig, you might be better looking for a chassis in the classifieds. I saw an MG200 Class 3 chassis the other day.

The most important things for a C3 scale rig are:

Good tires with CI foams
Good steering servo
Good motor/ESC with decent drag brake
Good winch
A plan to get it to -50 scale points
2.75" belly clearance
No wider than 11" if possible.

Toyzuki chassis and motor mount,4 wheel steering, xr mod axles, quality electronics (HH esc and motor,7950 servo, CC bec,KMS winch), body of your choice, 50 pt rig.... and some driving time and you will be good to go.

This is exactly what I'm doing for my new C3 build, to the T!

That MG200 option is another nice option, if I wasn't going the ToyZuki route, I probably would've picked that up.

Thinking of the cbe switchback chassis. And waiting for the ottsix tko10 housings to be released and xr mod (wide) 4ws thinking it would be a good combo
