Default Project " Copperhead" Badger made me build it, toyota trail rig

Here is the start of my toyota trail rig.
specs are :

mountaineer chassis
soon to have custom revolver shackle leaf spring kit
rc4wd alm shocks with custom mounts
pede trans
jato driveshafts
lathe 55t
s. chicken
mounty wheels, beadlocked
narrowed s. dogs
locked diffs
custom flat bed by rckjeep
savage bumpers
winch
few more things I forgot, NOT all of this stuff is even done yet, BUT I have been asked, I mean TOLD to post a few pics for all to see, body and flat bed are resting on chassis, not in final mount at all.

I have 6 of these trucks just sitting around, it was time to do something with some of them. Kinda weird, cause' I have had em' since the 80's.

thank you, I am super excited about this project, especially since people are starting to get the idea of a 2.2 trail rig class at comps.

I can't wait, just a few more parts and about 15 hours of work and she'll be done.
Whew, just get tired thinking about it. Thanks for the inspiration Badger.

Heh, Badger is also the reason I cut the bed off of my 1/6, that bum.

I am liking where your project is going

just a quick question, how's the durability on those itty-bitty irreplaceable axles? are the internal gears typical Tamiya cheesemetal, or something better?

gotta love the look, though.

Unimoger the truck looks awesome dude, i love the flat bed, i wish i had a bruiser i could do that with...lol i only have 3 though. keep up the good work and i definitely want to see more pics of the revolver shackles then when you get to them.

cvecmaxx: yes TLT axles are bigger, bruiser axles are scaled off of a similiar toyota 8" rear

I have yet to break an axle, someone else broke my front axle but he also breaks everything he touched.

They are stonger then most think, I wheel the **** out of mine. But I also don't pull back on the throttle when a wheel is completely bound up.

Thumbs up

I have wheeled all of mine hard for many years and have yet to break and axle, even with them both locked.

bruisers don't have diffs so how can you lock them? Unless you mean you put rear hubs on the front axle?

Ben in the second picture the rear cover should cover the frame not sit on top of it. Though you may need to open it up a bit.
