Default The Rubicon

Well there comes a time in a kids life when you have to build something badass to show some people up with, and thats what Im going to do with this thing
.:Specs:.
Scx10 chassis
tlt axles
Hot racing air shocks
Mudrock beedlocks
Slingers
HPI servo
Servo winch
45t motor
lrp esc
Nomadio react with sr3000 rec.
4600 7cell battery pack
Rubicon body
Custom Tube work

Pics:

Made a bracket for my winch from angled alu. and I need to clean up the horn the spool is mounted to.

Shiny

Yes, no?

Then went out for some posers

I decided I did not have a chance with my old rig, so it was time to upgrade. My electronic setup may change, but for right now this is it. I still need to bolt up some shafts, pinion, and solder on some motor wires and it will be RTR.

So what should I do with it? Tuber, soft top, hard top?

Thanks!

If you are making sliders, then you can just tie everything in together.

For my build, I just followed the lines of the body and once you get started, it usually just flows.

Used a wire feed which isn't the best thing, but my oxy / acty tanks were empty!

Its maiden run was a complete blast!!! I need to get some steel yolks, and remount my rear lockout and this thing will be set. Its VERY predictable and is very smooth. Best scaler ive ever built hands down. Heres some aftermath pics:

I vote soft top or removeable hardtop so you can go topless either way.

Got a new output thanks to kikcaffine, and proceeded to test the rig to make sure it was bullet proof for this weekends event. Well, all besides the motor... its ready.
Aftermath pics, no mud whiped on this body!
Had a smudge on my camera..

I forgot how much fun submerging my scaler was, and how much they get hung on stuff. Its definetly a nice break from competition.

Well guys, all hell has broken loose. Thursday of last week, I hit up a familliar face of RCC to do some crazy shiz to my truck. So I sent it out monday to colorado to get it worked on and some AMAZING photographs snapped of it in the build process. Can you guess who? He should be chiming in any day now when the rig gets there. I know Im excited
