| Here are my newly fabricated bumpers! This is my first attempt at welding anything. The rear bumper was first and not as clean lookingas I wanted it, the second attempt was the front bumper and it came out a lot cleaner. I painted them white and they fit the truck well. I used 1/4" 6061 TC-6 Aluminum Rod and 1/8" x 1/2" 6061 TC-6 Aluminum Flat Bar to attach the bumper to the frame. I like this grade of aluminum because it is soft enough to cut and weld but will not bend. I assume its the same aluminum that is used on stock links. Next some rock rails? ![]() ![]() Some Negatives to help show the bumpers....the white paint washes them out in the pictures ![]() Last edited by grimgard; 09-25-2009 at 01:04 PM. |
