So I just acquired in a trade a Tamiya Mountianeer. It's almost complete. No tires, I just slapped on some Swamp Dawgs, cuz I had them unglued. It's missing some steering part, the front & rear tube bumpers and like most bruiser/mounty's the grill tabs on the hood are broken. It's missing the tranny plugs, and a headlight bevel. But as you can see it's in excellent shape. I'll have the stock radio and owners manual too. Plans as of now are to strip it off the tranny, motor, radio & battery trays along with the nerfbars and radio off to ebay or likewise. Then add a pede tranny and Badgers custom steering setup. I'll need a set of rear hub to lock it up as well. if you are interested in any parts shoot me a PM. Last edited by rckjeep; 12-20-2005 at 03:51 PM.

"Remember Alf? He's back. In pog form." Chia Homer is for a white elephant gift exchange. But I'm a huge Simpsons fan. I've got a flashing Moe's Tavern clock, Homer's cereal, all the DVD's except season six. I just love that show. I'm trading an RTR comp rig, less battery & charger, body, I think thats it.

I"m going to keep it fairly stock. I'll do some changes, shocks & shock local, I came up with using fuel line for spring bushings on Badgers, so I'll do that. I have some jugg springs, and some mounty springs to play with. I just want to get the pede trans in and sell all the other parts. but I need to get the truggy done first. Hopefully by xmas. I'm heading back east for a week so I won't be able to work on either of them till I get back.

Looks like I've got a pede for this thing now. I've already built a trans mount for a pede tranny to bolt to the frame. It's got driveshaft cut outs and ramped edges. I've got TLT shocks, and just need to sell the tranny/motor/radio box and make a servo mount to adapt Badgers steering design. Then it's narrow the rims and glue on some rock rings.

| Rck- this pede trans mount sounds pretty sweet, I have a bruiser chassis on its way with tlt axles and all metal geared pede trans, I wasnt going to use it because I have a single speed engle style trans for it but, was this mount hard to make? O yea and soon as i get the right side one (got to lefts by accident), I have some pro type front servo mounts that are looking real sweet, I'll let ya know how they work out once its installed. | The mount looks cool. I'll look thru my pics and see if I can find one. It's not hard to make when you have the right tools. edit: couldn't find a pic so I took one Last edited by rckjeep; 12-16-2005 at 10:05 AM. |
