Talking Basic Bronco

ok well i had the parts laying around and i needed something to get me away from the trophy truck project for a few so i threw together the basic bronco build.

stats:
wheely king axles
k2 chassis
aluminum touring car shocks
hpi bronco body
three link with custom top link
savage bumper
narrowed wheely king rims soon to be with old school "washer rock rings"

going for a everyday big trail truck/mud toy. not a lot of flex but simplicity can be a great thing for durability and reliability. i have a couple of trannys to choose from and i have to pick up some mud thrashers or rock lox to finnish her up. just thought i would toss this out there. only took a couple of hours to build. top links were a huge PITA. body came out awsome paint it 9.95 out of 10.

i'll get some more pics of it today. the rear is done now and the front budy mount. i just have to throw in a trans and driveshafts then i'll have a roller. probably gonna toss it up for sale as it was just a spur of the moment build. thanks for looking

ok well i went with the pede tranny because i'm cheap and the axial tranny is for the trophy truck. i slapped my mm/vxl setup in there with a 7 cell 4500 pack and all i have to say is there was nothing but grins. i put it back to a 18t pinion and 87 spur and it wil still wheely. it is very bouncy but will cut across smooth grass like its nothing. this is one of those trucks that just gives you that giddy feeling while driving. feels very "old school" so to say. i'm glad i drove it around but now im not sure i want to get rid of it yet. it would kick but in some mud with some mud thrashers and a little slower motor. as you would expect the motor heats pretty quick and cogs when to try to crawl but there is no cogging while driving. springs are pretty stiff but i don't really want to change them. overall i am very happy with it.

here is the tranny setup. it was the easiest way to mount it and looks ok, and fits good.

Yea, the paint turned out real nice. How come you couldn't mount the pede tranny flat?
