Default Crazy JK

Taking a break from my Bronco build, I purchased a roller from classifieds, body and cage originally built by NatalieMorgan. I decided on a new body since the old one had seen a lot of paint. The cage was an awesome start for this build. Started to bob the back end and mock up the wheelbase. 2.2 Rockcrushers, RC4WD Disruptor tranny and case, MSD chassis, RC4WD shocks, T-rex axles (now changed to Axial).

Thanks-Gonna try the 2.2's out-you think they might be too big? See how it goes. Here's some more shots-gathering parts. I was able to save the tailgate so I could use the original tail lights as well. Used a soldering iron to melt the panels together on the inside along with solvent. I wanto to keep this thing kind of low. Cage is just sitting on top of chassis for now-

Nice job so far, keep the tubing white, the color combo looks nice. I build a JK also but your tubing work is beautiful !!! I have went back and forth on the wheel size, after switching back and forth many times I ended up staying with 1.9's they just look more scale with that body

More work on the cage/chassis (I know I am slow). Needed to blast the primer off and trim to fit chassis. Got it securely mounted front, back and along the sides. Will be adding more tubes for strength now that I can judge chassis and body clearance.

Thanks!! Here's a bit more-was going great until I ran out of brake line-Got the lower links, tires and axles on. I think the wheelbase looks good. Now I have to make brackets for the upper links and shock hoops. Out to the auto parts store-

Small set back-I needed to swap out axles at the T-rex mounts are not giving me wide enough mounts for shocks. :-( I am replacing with Axials and will have pics soon with suspension all hooked up.

Toys R Us. I bought this one in the summer on discount. They recently had them back in stock but not anymore-at least online. If you check your local stors, sometimes they have them sitting on the shelf.
