Default Winter Project

Well with winter on its way its time to start a new project.. This time a new 2.2 rig.. Im going to be building a full scale interior for the rig as well as some other goodies along the way. Dont mind the 2 diff sets of tires as Im trying to decide which to run on it to start though I am thinking I might end up with 2.2 Rock Lox. Also the paint is actually bright red and not orange, lighting is very bad.

Looks cool! Does it come with the axles? I saw it on RC4WD site and it didnt list the axles or shocks.

Well I made a trip down to Industrial Plastics and Paints today and picked up a 2'X4' sheet of styrene for way cheaper than 2 8"X10" sheets from the hobby store and got started on my interior this afternoon.
Got the floor pan and centre console as well as the 5-speed shifter, just waiting on the 4wheel shifter to dry and that will be done too.. Used a heavy duty paperclip for the shifters and the shift knobs are actually the balls off some of my labret piercings.... lol shhhhh dont tell the wife.. shift boots are made out of heat shrink tubing..

I still need to give the console a good sanding at this point to get it smoothed out and round the edges. So this is still its rough form.

Well after working for a couple more hours last night I managed to come up with a way to mount the floor pan into the chassis... Got the centre console and seats mounted to the floor pan along with the shifters. Also got started on the dash board and figured out how to mount it.. Next I was trying to find a spot to place the battery where it would be easy to change on the trails but still not stand out like a sore thumb so after a lil bit of thinking I came up with what you will see in the photos!

Thanks for all the compliments guys...

I ended up mounting the fuel cell on the underside of plate that way the wiring wont be such an issue and the weight is a bit lower.. And not to mention now I can put more scale goodies on the top side..
