Default R2j's 1.9 Truggy.....now a 2.2

Well I finally got time to start this build. Whew, been busy with other members rigs. Wanted to do something a little different for my 1.9. So here is what I got so far.

-SCX10 (back halved)

-SCX10 50's Chevy cab w/boat sides

-other half of body will be a trailer

-CC Sidewinder ECS

-Integy 45T

-Airtronics 94359 servo

-3cell lipo

-undecided on what winch

-Rox Lox in the mail

-undecided on bead lock (stock for now)

-will use Hand Bros frame mount steering

-R2j Kustoms upper links 5/16" w/Revo ends

-custom 4 link rear truss

-R2j Kustoms lower links 5/16" w/Revo ends

On to some pics.............

Should start the tube work in a couple of days. I need to finish a members rig first. So keep an eye out for updates on both soon!

Good start.
So did take the place of the Ram Charger? Or are you going to have a 1.9 and a 2.2?
Looking forward to seeing what you do with your tube work!

Looks really good. Maybe use some fabric material from Michaels craft store to create some flat fenders up front.

Thanks Todd. Still doing the Ram Charger, still waiting on paint( Tim C. is a busy boy). I couldn't wait, needed to start something, and come up with this. So yes 1.9 and 2.2. Tube will be fairly simple, but it will be good.

Thanks. That's a good idea on the fabric. That wold still work with the flared aluminum planes I'll be making for the front. What's left of the fenders now will be coming off and a panel will be added to make the wheel well smaller.

Thanks! Hmmmm? I really have not thought about it. But, my last two comp bodies have been black with red accents so....this one might be the same. I'll look at it a while and then see if something comes to me.;) Tube work will most likely be flat or satin black. Also taking the green anodize off the bead locks and paint the wheels flat black. I can't stand the green anymore.

It looks sick Shon What are you going to do on the rear cage? I think a little flat bed would look awesome.

Thanks Rodney! Well I wasn't sure. And did think of a flat bed, but ended up doing bars similar to the FJ rear. Looks pretty cool. Also gives me some place to attach a roof rack/light bar.

Solid 3/16" and TIG. It should be a fun little rig. It's my first Scaler, now I think I have a problem. LOL
