I've been slowly making progress with this rig. I got the snorkel/intake assembled and mounted, went to Savage bumpers, and added lights to the front, back and hood. I also stuffed the SR and reciever in a Hitec servo case. It's at least usable to bash in snow and shallow water now.

All that work...

...and you didn't take time to get rid of the Tamiya battery plugs.

You're doing that chit on purpose!

Looks Awesome. Just curious, is there a reason for the VW stickers on a ford, or is it some sick joke?

Thanks.

Some are VW stickers, some are SW stickers. The VW stickers on the lights were the only thing I had that was the right size. I'll end up towing the bug bodied 2.2 rig with it eventually too.

Love all the scale add-ons Bender. I am so glad to see you getting so into the scale side, it really does make them more fun.

Reminds me of that big orange 70's blazer that was in Top Truck Challange a while back. it had the same Handicap bathroom rails on its fenders too.

Really sweet build.

The top of the snorkel is a scrap piece of Delrin I had laying around. The sticker on it is from one of my HPI bug body decal sheets. The tubing going into the body is protective coating for electrical wires. I have a 1/4" diameter aluminum standoff that goes through the center of the tubing to make it rigid. One long M3 screw holds it all together and ties it to the body.

Thanks again for the compliments guys.
