| Long Bed Chevy for UTRCRC TTC
So I've been working here and there on my build for the upcoming the UTRCRC TTC events. This is what I have so far. It's crazy to drive Tires and wheels are very likely going to change. I'm still deciding on color. I was going to go red with a white side panels but I just don't know now. I'm kind of thinking flat black or white with some primer spots. K2-5 Chassis Axial Axles Summit 2 speed tranny (thanks to rbgerrish for the idea) Delrin lower links, misc upper Tekin RS Sensored Brushless system with 17.5t motor 3s Lipo Axial Servo Winch Proline Longbed Chevy body, 12.25" wb Winch hook is on the way. Not much articulation but I think it will work incredibly well. The two speed tranny is huge but it's sooooooooo worth it. I hooked up a servo to it which works great. I'm going to use a switch to switch it between the winch and 2 speed since I only have a 3 channel radio. The winch mounts up in the chassis and comes out through the fairlead. | First is pretty average for what I want in a scaler for speed and the low end power is awesome! Second is full on controlled drifts in the garage. On rough cement you have to watch your driving and in snow 3' roosters are no problems. |

Two speed looks like it is going to work well. What type of switch did you use? I did that in one on mine and ended up using a DPDT switch. For some reason a SPDT switch caused some glitching issues. Looks like a great start and will be looking forward for the rest of the build. |

BTW, I used the wide range in the tranny. I think the close range wouldn't be much of a difference at all.

Question for you, I'm thinking of using a summit trans like you have. What did you use for a pinion and spur gear?

I tried to get a switch today and had no luck. I'll try a different radio shack tomorrow but it looks like I'll need to order one on line. Any idea if this would work? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWB26&P=7 I really wish someone made one where you could plug the servos into basically a y-harness but I'm not finding it.
