Default central ohio ttc fj

this is a project i am working on for our local TTC event. ever since watching the video i have been hooked. i suck at build threads so this more of an in-progress thread.

specs:

toyota fj nose.
homemade frame and cage
leaf springs front and rear
axial axles
summit 2 speed trans
2.2 rok lox on axial rims(thinking rc4wd steelies)
hitec 5645MG(need to upgrade)
xl-5 with no name 3? turn for now(ugrade to torquemaster or integy v.11)
3cell lipo
steering servo from mlst for shifting trans

rbgerrish is right about the summit trans. It is the truth. with my tubework, this truck feels much more planted with the summit trans compared to the axial. the 2 speeds are a great ratio. i am definitely building another truck with this trans.

still need to finish the roof and then make skins. new winch and bumper. small bed in the rear to hold my straps, rear traction bar, and someone local who can powdercoat. stay tuned.

sorry for all the crappy pictures. i broke my good camera falling backwards over a rock and havent ponied up to replace it yet. anyway here are some more crappy pics. started working on the side panels and finishing the roof bars and bed. the roof will be made out of aluminum and come down the front to meet the brow line. front wheels wells will be opened up. still brewing on the compartments for the bed.

hope to be at the powdercoater next week.

Looks like you've got last place locked down.
