I bougut today the K2-3L chassis, and it will be here in two weeks. i want to have a more scaler look of my rig. every body say that is a good chassis but nobody talk about the CG... how good is this chassis CG, compared to other chassis? I have the integy upgrade chassis for the wheely king, and surpricely it has a very good performance...almost 60 degrees climbing... do the K2-3L will be better than the one i have??? thanks to all !!! this is the one i have |

CG as in COG (center of gravity)? look at the online manual/buildup that Kaetwo put up http://www.reignrc.com/downloads/K2-...0Bld%20Doc.pdf The second to last page has three of his vehicles that use that chassis. If you use the recommended tamiya shocks or proper length shocks (the length is in the manual) the truck sits pretty low but still performs awesome. This chassis is a great buy for anyone, I highly recommend it to anyone.

The K2 is a great chassis, you'll be very happy with it. The only issue I may see is the WK tranny, I don't think I've ever seen anyone use one on a K2-3L before, It will take some ingenuity. And you will want shorter shocks.

I would recommend the K2-3L, its a very capable chassis with a very low COG. Built according to the build thread its awesome. |

I agree. I love my K2 as well. It will have a lower COG than what you are running now.

to get a proper ride height you need 2.25-3 inch shocks, Reign recommends 62mm ta03 shocks with TLT axles, since you're running WK axles you may find you need something different but either way the WK shocks are way to long. I used Losi buggy fronts and limited traxxas rustler rear shocks on mine.

Yup I'll jump in and say that the K2-3L is a very good chassis! Very Capable Crawler. I have mine setup with the upper links triangulated with servo/link mount plates. And am also using REVO shocks. You can find some good shocks in the vendors section. 3Racing makes some nice shocks to. |

its no problem using the WK tranny. just lay it on its side and use the three mounting holes on the side facing down. the only mod needed is that you must remove the tab on the motor mount that slides in the slots in the top of the WK chassis. i have looked at this because i have a WK tranny that im planning to use in a scale build and i have looked at different chassis and it fits most of them. i think the width of it is 4-4,5" or something. if it doesnt fit just clock the motor mount and place the motor on top of the tranny.

I will try to do this mod. but in 3mm aluminium, i made the servo mount in my rig so i think this will be no problem and this is the servo mount that i made

im getting a lay down tranny mount from nick rummy and a custom scale chasis. i would move the silver bar up one hole and cut the bottom of the servo arm off so it not laying on the purple one. |

ok, thanks for all your replys Now, thanks to you, i know that i bought a good chassis, that its COG is ok and its performance is very good... But now i have a concern I bought a set of Integy MSR10 too !!! They are almost the same size as the weely king . Now i know that i will have to make some extended shock mounts to fit them. But... what dou you think about this shocks running with the K23L??? (with extended shock mounts) |

| it will cause a few issues, including a taller COG, it will mess with you're 4 link geometry, and drive-line issues. Ever seen one of the California Mall crawlers with the 18 inch lift? If you do a shock mount that extends above the chassis and limit its travel to keep the axles from over twisting you should be fine |
