| New Kinda Bruiser Hybrid
Most Bruiser hybrids have TLT axles and when I busted my front inner axle I was gonna replace it or go with the TLT way. But no TLT axles here. I'm still waiting on some parts but couldn't wait to start the thread. Babyota never seems to be finished. I get it running and explode something. Lead finger I guess. Lots a stuff on the list to do but kinda on a stand still till parts get here. Got a few of my new goodies in the mail and couldn't wait to put them together. Here's a couple old pics... Out with the old... And in with the new... UMMM Beefy Just like 1:1's. Out with the Yota 8" and in with the Dana 60. Gotta love RC4WD. I have to take my Moabs off some plastic wheels to put on my beadlocks I got as well. Old thread for some flashback Revisiting my Babyota (loto pics) Last edited by Thundermaxx; 09-17-2007 at 11:07 PM. |

How do the axles work? Do they spin freely? Any bind? Hows the steering. Should look good with a narrower stance.

| Brandon has it right...maybe if my Bruiser axles had WORKED I would have been the 1st. I think they look awesome, but if they dont work, then what good are they I learned my lesson...I wont be the 1st one to buy anything like that again. With that said, I hope they work thundermaxx |

They spin good but I shimmed mine up. I have alot of shims around so I always try and get the mesh right when I can. Has good steering too. I hope they work too. I'm kinda hard on stuff. I've busted the bone end on like 3 or 4 original Bruiser axles. Got tired of having to look for those.

Well I got my for link mounts in and started working on the rear. I recycled my old axle truss. Wanted to keep the upper links as triangulated as possible to keep out some of the axle steer. Had to sort through the different links I had laying around to get the length I wanted on the rear but still may lenghten or shorten it later. Here's the pics... Modded truss I may change my upper links. I have some that are a couple mm's longer to get a better pinion angle. LMK what ya think. Input here is always helpful. |

UPDATESSSS!!!! Not many, but some. Got a little mocking up done. I have to take my links apart and cut to get the front back under the wheel wells. I want to move the servo to the axle this time around so I have to figure out my own design or try the RC4WD one. Not sure yet. Anyways here's some pics. D60's on a Yota Hope to get more done soon. Go to work on the lower links tomorrow. Last edited by Thundermaxx; 11-16-2007 at 06:43 PM. |

it's too bad the diff cover is oposite a dana-60. it is more like coorperate 14 bolt full floater style diff cover. which is perfectly suitable in the rear. but it would be quite the feat to custom build a front axle with a 14 bolt center section.

D60, 14 bolt, 10 bolt? All stout axles nonetheless.

not saying it can't or has not been done (14bolt front end). as far as a 10 bolt being a stout rear end? mmmm not so much. pretty much junk.
