Default My Hilux with custom lengthened chassis

Well, I decided to start a new thread now (RIP Midnight Mud King)...

Like I said in my other build post, I bought a Hilux body and 2.2 Rok Lox, and the Diaz chassis wheelbase was way too short. So, I was looking around at a possible new chassis, however I loved the way the Diaz was built for leafs (Besides, I really don't have 50 - 125 extra bucks for a new chassis anyway), so I decided to get creative.

1. Made a trip to Lowes. Bought some c tubing.

2. Cut my Diaz chassis! No turning back now, and extended the cassis by 4 inches.

3. Perfect fit!!!!!!

4. Painted the rails and viola.

5. Painted the body (still a lot of detail work I want to do, but this is a start.

6. Now to test.

Again, all the same electronics as the Mud Pumpkin (xl-5, 35t Integy, Diaz chassis (custom lengthened), Hi Lift axels, rc4wd leafs with tamiya helpers, waterproof erevo receiver box, 2s lipo cut-off.

This things rocks. The added wheelbase has so much more control over obsticals than my shorter chassis. Exceeds all my expectations, and I still don't even really know what I am doing...
