Looks like you're making some good progress on this thing. The rear tube work looks very good Verne.

Thanks, the 49' has been in the works for a long time and finally is pretty darn close to what I have always wanted from it. And yes Moab is pretty close to my idea of heaven on earth.

Back to the build.

SO Barry was not so happy with the smaller upper bed bars and the way the down bar (c-pillar) passed behind this bar on its way down to the lower bed rail so after discussing it a bit I made a few cuts and came up with this:




The down bars will meet a connecter bar that will connect them and the upper bed bar to the lower bed bar soon!

I aim to please, but I am SLOW!

Not feeling the shock hoops. Needs a horizontal bar to support the plate.

Hey this things is looking amazing. What about making a bar like your rear four link truss to connect the lift blocks together? That way the spring dont look like they are floating out their in midair. That front bumper is sick. Oh and I think you should go with a flat spare tire mount so you have some area for accesories under the spare.
