That is so NICE - I think your next one should be identical only in 1:1 scale with a big block supercharged V8 dropped in!

Well crap, glad you guys like all the metal work! I spent Sunday painting the chassis flat black and also broke the seal and cut up that NIP proline FJ body. I decided on a plain jane green and white paint job just because it's factory FJ color and then also wanted to pay homage to my first scaler. Last night I got a Tamiya hilift jack painted with Dull Red and detailed some light lens and buckets. Need to get this thing running this week... |

I did lots of work tonight trying to get it running for a comp this weekend. Started with the battery tray which I made from 1/8" delrin, then got the servo and front rock lights installed. Also polished all my links and got my axles back under the truck...just where they belong Installed the rear axle and the Axial tail light buckets and lens that I painted with the clear red tamiya paint finished the paint on the lid with a coat of black and then shoe goo'd in some axial headlight buckets |

It is looking really good. It really does deserve a set of the Toyota and Land Cruiser emblems from ScaleOffroad.de to set it off.

Right on guys, thanks for the encouragement to finish it up, still have lots to do though. I spent tonight installing electronics and getting it running. I still have to deal with the winch's and controller and I may end up removing the axial radio box to fit a bigger battery plate. Before I do that though I need to start building some styrene panels and mounting up switches for the multi-function 3rd ch. |
