ive seen a few in real life that look like that! i would drop the body down a couple clicks and de-anodize the links would make it look "more scale"

Slashnbash! 05-17-2010 08:44 PM

ya i think im going to change the springs to full droop instead and then get the chassis and links powder coated black

xjlongo 05-17-2010 08:53 PM

looks good. I just got mine on my losi night crawler.

Slashnbash! 05-17-2010 08:57 PM

Not yet i got the body posts made yesterday and mounted the body today, im still trying to figure out what color to paint it.

Adamsdad 05-17-2010 10:29 PM

I dig the black, but is it just me...or did you put the stickers over the over spray plastic?

Slashnbash! 05-18-2010 05:13 AM

no its paint with the plastic peeled off, i did black because thats what my 1:1 is and because i didnt have to do the roof rack and bumper a different color to make it look better

Adamsdad 05-18-2010 07:56 AM

I got ya, my computer monitor at home isnt the greatest.

irok22s 05-18-2010 11:28 AM

deffinatly lower the body a bit

ecoli 05-18-2010 12:11 PM

Body is too high and too far back. Your home-made 4-link plate on the rear axle is already cracked. I'd replace it with something a lot stronger.

I've been wondering what 2.2s would look like under this body. Too big for my taste, but yeah, I've seen pics of 1:1 rigs with that big of tires under them. If that's what you like, then go for it.

dieselfuel 05-18-2010 03:23 PM

the rear 4 link setup looks pretty bad honestly. probably not gonna drive very well. you want the mounting holes for the upper links to be a little lower on the chassis end. you don't need that much vertical separation.

Slashnbash! 05-18-2010 07:48 PM

ya i know i just did it to see how it does with a wider 4 link i have the aluminum one im going to put on it. here are a couple updated pics with it lowered to full droop setup.

No, what people meant was lower the body :D! If that's at full droop sitting there, the tires should tuck right into the wheel wells. Looks like you could lower that body another 1/2 - 3/4" or so.

desertrunner 05-19-2010 09:34 PM

ya i think it would look a ton more scale if you didnt see where the lower links mounted from the side!
