Default Cheap LandRover LR3 make over..(under $200)

I want a trail/beach beater 4x4 LR3 I can dress up and don't have much $ to spend on it...(want to spend under $200 and have some fun altering/building)
So I have ordered:
1/10 LR3 off fleabay, $68 shipping includ.....2 wheel drive, crappy electronics but very nicely detailed body, working head/tail lights, opening doors/hood/tailgate..

Also off flebay bought this cheap ($59) 4x4 frame/drivetrain to mount the LR3 body to. (don't laugh unless you know a better deal for same or less $!)
Comes with no motor or electronics, i have a few ESC's though..
It seems to be 4-wheel independant suspension? yeah I know it's cheap..lol
but it is 4x4..

For tire/wheels am thinking these:

or these:

then i scored some salvage parts (new) off a web hobby shop:
AXIAL SCX10 Radio w/Receiver 27mhz
$17.00
AXIAL SCX10 Honcho AS-2 Servo
$7.99
AXIAL SCX10 Honcho 27t motor w/pinion
$10.00
Those OK prices i hope?
I think that's all I need...? I have ESC's and batt's..

Well the Land Rover showed up..good deal fo the $ imo

Has nice paint and body details

Interior detail is very good i think

Size compared to my HPI CKing

hood

tail gate
It's got a cracked rear windshield but to much trouble to re-ship back for that small a defect...

I think that you should go with the bone stock look. I would just use that chassis and the wheels and tires from the LR3

problem 1:
wheel base to short for the long LR3 body...I'd have to really slice up the wheelwells to get any kind of fit and it's too pretty for that...

The D90 body does not fit so well either...

But my ProLine Tracker/Sidekick body fits nicely i think...

it's a HengLong so just as well it came with no electronics..

Out of the box though i think it's a good deal for the money (under $60)
Shocks are pretty..

It's pretty fast for a cheap 4x4, with my garmin Etrex gps on it it did 13.3mph out of the box, using my 4 year old 3000 NiMh..

So the LR3 body is going on the HPI Crawler King....had to cut out the rear deck around where the 3 row seat was and had to move the middle seat fwd some....mounted the body high to avoid cutting any more floor out up front so i can keep the interior stock...still need to rewire the head/tail lights to a small batt pack..still under $200 though 'cause i got my CK for $105+$12s&h
I like the way it looks too...

Alright, lights and driver..

The lights are nice and bright, i used the orig LR3 10v batt to run just the lights, on a quick dis-connect so i can take it out for day runs..

Found one of the Wallyworld WWF guys who had a shirt on so he is driving..
