Scale Halfcab Bronco I wanted to build a rig that had a wheel base that actually fit the body and also make sure the tires did not stick out to far from the fenders (stupid laws in California). Here are the specs: 11.5" WB 8.75" track width 2.5" center clearance 8.5" max height of cab Bender Customs chassis set up 60/40 TLT-1 Axles locked diffs Blackfoot stub shafts Stampede trany w/Jato shafts, 120T 64P spur 55t Lathe Motor, 16t 64P pinion HPI Geolander tires w/pie shape foams Traxxas rims w/rock rings 2 wheel steering 5 oz of bb's in each tire http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aaa.sized.jpg http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aab.sized.jpg http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aac.sized.jpg http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aad.sized.jpg http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aae.sized.jpg http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aaf.sized.jpg http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aag.sized.jpg |

AWESOME!!! Maybe if I'm good Santa will bring me one for Christmas. Best scale Bronco to date in my honest opinion. |
Wow ! Looks great! Awesome Job John! |
I'm impressed. That's very cool rig. I dig the pre-runner style bumpers and the flat paint on the flairs. |
Wow! Very nice work, looks really scale. Nice work on the body too! Are those Sprint wheels? How are the 64p gears holding up? Again, excelent work man! Get some action shots:D -Destroyer |

hope you are bringing it to RCX badger! |
Nice work mr. Badger sir. I really dig the bob tail (half cab) and the use of the Blackfoot stub axles to stuff the tires in the wells, great idea. Good work and great attention to detail:). |

Thanks for all the complements guys. I was really surprised on how well it performed at todays comp, I took 2nd place with it. I had absolutely no run time on the rocks before the comp, and the real surprising thing is I am not going to change one thing on it. I am going to drop it off at one of my LHS's to put on display tomorrow and pick it up shortly before next month's comp to hopefully get some more locals interested in rock crawling. |

The EB looks great man, like the color scheme. Mike |
Badger, First off, that is spectacular. I'm not a ford guy myself but that is nothing short of awesome. I have looked at those wheels for a long time but never could figure out how to get them mounted on the axles due to the wheels 5 bolt hub design. Maybe you could show us some pics of the inside face of the wheel by the hub? I would appreciate it. |

I am not sure what your referring to regarding a 5 bolt hub design. :? These wheels have your standard + hub for the axle pin to slide into. I had to take the dremel to the wheel hubs because there is to much plastic around the hub when you tighten down your wheel nut the hub hit's the steering knuckle and prevents the wheel from spinning freely. Here are some pics to better explain. You can also see in these pics that I pulled the wheels out of the black tie WAY to early. http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aah.sized.jpg http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aai.sized.jpg http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/albums/sc.../aak.sized.jpg |
I'd hit it. |

Thanks for the pictures I coulda swore those use the older tamiya hubs that were star shaped. I know you have seen em if you have ever bought 2.2 HPI wheels. Anyway it is irrelevant, thanks again. |
