Default Newbie question

Hey guys I'm new to the RC world, I want to build a scale rig, I'm just wondering how to get started, should I buy a kit or build one from the ground up? I'm looking to build a realistic scale that's not too wild but will be a decent crawler also, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I'd say get any of the scx10 options out there and start from there. I started with the scx10 kit and it has had probably 4 face lifts since it was built up. Its never ending.

Im new to the scale game too. I picked up a RTR Honcho recently. The RTR is nice but with the kit you can make it your own and build it from the ground up.
