Default summit tranny/vxl pinion?

just picked up a scx10 with a summit trans and im gonna throw my vxl in it and need to pick up some pinions what size do you guys recomend its a 86t spur

86t 48 pitch or 36?

With 36 pitch I think I was running a 14 tooth pinion, but smaller is better with that much power. I think Jason was running a 12 tooth with his, if it doesn't mesh well you can always go bigger on the spur gear.

its a 36p spur and thanks for the idea on what to get ill grab a couple today. and i put it in here because i see alot of people running summit trans in there ttc rigs so if ya cant help me why reply
