wide open designs BLOWER BUGGY the last last time me and my friends went crawling it just seamed like a bad day for everyone. i think we all went home with the intent to build a high horse power, hill climbing rig. well i just placed a order on the parts i needed tonight to "get-er-dun" so i thought i would give everyone a look at the next rig i will try to build. here is a link to the build up of the 1:1 http://www.wideopendesign.com/Projec...wer-Buggy.aspx https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_y..._6003213_n.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_y...%20%289%29.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_y...20%2812%29.jpg and the parts i have coming should give me that blower motor power:twisted: stay tuned.... |
bad ass for sure! |
im gonna try like hell to do it justice |
This would be an awesome build. |
the best part is when i had w.o.d. to build my 203/205 doubler in my fj40 i got to meet adam and his dad dwight, the owners of w.o.d. honestly i did not know what kind of people they were, you know when some folks have success at something it is very easy for it to go to there head. this was not the case with these guys. adam was very busy and his dad was too but dwight took the time to come over and answer any questions i might have, and then we stood around for over a hour and just shot the bull. you could not ask for a nicer bunch of guys. one more thing, they took several pictures when building the blower buggy, so it should be easy to get the tube work as close as possible. |
cool, I was just reading this build on pirate the other day. |
Killer looking buggy cant wait to see the mini one done. |
I was just reading about this buggy on Pirate this morning and thinking this would be a cool build. Great minds think alike , yours is just a little faster:mrgreen: Can't wait to see this thing come together"thumbsup" |
mmmm BIG MOTOR:twisted: (oh wait, I know what's coming lol) Are you using brake line or rod for this? You know that rod will be easier to do all the "rolled" tubing bends. I'll run the bolt cutters :flipoff: I'll give you some more "team" stickers too. If you use the summit trans and 3s/6s, that will give you essentially 4 speeds. I think geared properly, you'll end up running in 6s/first gear all the time. More volts = more torque. |
I like it. Will be watching the progress on this one for sure. |
