Looks good I think I would go with the older hot rod body though.. |
That thing will go way.... better just by addin the Jeep body... Lookin good man. "thumbsup" |
Liking the pattern on those wild dagger wheels. Are you planning on dyeing them, or just leaving them white? |
Looks good, like the fact that its all from different parts slapped together, will def. be unique and if you keep up the good work itll turn out awesome! Matt |
I like it better with the rat rod body, but you could always just build two with all those parts:ror: You going to make the first ttc event with it? |
Looks like a cool build. I like the jeep body better, but thats just me. |
nice use of all those f350 parts most discard |
update time First - shes got a name now - Since its part Slash and part Summit - her name is Slammit! heres a pic of the first chassis brace / rear link mount/ tranny mount getting put in place https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_115913.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_115900.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_115850.jpg Rear mounted up! https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_115840.jpg and this bitch needs some color damn it! https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_115828.jpg TO THE PARTS BIN! some of you might recognize these from lowes... or your kitchen! https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_122549.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_163458.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_163450.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_163323.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_163300.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_163231.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_163224.jpg |
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_163206.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_163200.jpg tada! color! https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...218_120821.jpg evil eyes! https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_G...218_120828.jpg mock up https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_G...218_120854.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_G...218_120844.jpg Currently trying to figure ot the driveshafts.. i ordered teh MIPs that dorkstar used - with where i mounted my tranny - its not going to work. the shafts are too long for the rear and too short for the front - so i am back at square 1 for the drive shafts... then, i still have to finish the tranny mount then, figure out the shifting servo for the tranny then some body posts then lights and front bumper and a winch this is where the front end sits rigth now after a trip to the band saw! https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_G...216_163513.jpg |
family is thinking about coming up tp the TTC at Dans shop on sunday - truck wont be ready but it is still a great time to watch and maybe get some video! oh - i also have to rig up a pull point for the tow test.... |
*sigh* ghetto fab at its finest. :flipoff: I love it! Bring it sunday, I wanna see it:ror: |
I like this thing.love the ifs . |
on the way home from the local TTC comp 1 - had to roll by hobby town to check out the clearence section! picked up a 1/8th scale winch which is ironically the exact same size as the lexan one on teh rubicon body from proline.... also got some titanium bits - looking to mount the tranny and get the front driveshaft figured out very shortly.... next thing to find is an outerwear prefilter to keep the crap outta the motor - a couple of guys had thier motors quit at the comp on sunday... figure on of these will just be more protection. need to get this thing done so i can get some testing in and get it all dialed in before the next comp in 4 weeks. |
so - ive been scratching my head over the front driveshaft.... finally figured it out! Stock slash driveshaft adapter - summit drive shaft coupler - old hinge pin - titanium drill bit and a drill press and this is what i have! https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_G...223_203709.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_G...223_203725.jpg now - this has to be directly in line with the front driveshaft which is no big deal. All i have left is the rear driveshaft, tranny mount, and a front bumper to house the winch. |
