here you can see the that im using a front axle for mock up water proof reciever box traxxas thick wheel hubs to move the wheels outward more the bandit rear arms mounted on the front diff brought the front track in almost perfect width with the rear this was body thought # 1 - nope body option number 3? - thinking about it marking the location for the tranny to "poke through" |

starting to chop off the rear and mocked up my idea for the rear shock tower... does it look familiar? tamiya f350 front brush gaurd! from the bottom side this is where i will be "trimming" Parts bag for the under chassis skid and the f350 brush gaurd should work? status.... 4 all trimmed up skid mounted "shock mount" tranny mock up the skid matches up with the lines of the chassis quite well! mock up its a tight fit but should do! |

evx2 tucked in nicely up front! mock up of body #2 - still undecided! mock up of body #3.. yup! 3rd time is the charm! imex tires showed up today! spare tire is mounted! quite a cool little idea i had! uses an axial ofset ball end joint hammered over the last bar of the f350 "brush gaurd" and the shocks showed up! moved the shock location forward one to loosen her up |

Liking the pattern on those wild dagger wheels. Are you planning on dyeing them, or just leaving them white?

I like it better with the rat rod body, but you could always just build two with all those parts You going to make the first ttc event with it?

| tada! color! evil eyes! mock up Currently trying to figure ot the driveshafts.. i ordered teh MIPs that dorkstar used - with where i mounted my tranny - its not going to work. the shafts are too long for the rear and too short for the front - so i am back at square 1 for the drive shafts... then, i still have to finish the tranny mount then, figure out the shifting servo for the tranny then some body posts then lights and front bumper and a winch this is where the front end sits rigth now after a trip to the band saw! |

on the way home from the local TTC comp 1 - had to roll by hobby town to check out the clearence section! picked up a 1/8th scale winch which is ironically the exact same size as the lexan one on teh rubicon body from proline.... also got some titanium bits - looking to mount the tranny and get the front driveshaft figured out very shortly.... next thing to find is an outerwear prefilter to keep the crap outta the motor - a couple of guys had thier motors quit at the comp on sunday... figure on of these will just be more protection. need to get this thing done so i can get some testing in and get it all dialed in before the next comp in 4 weeks. |

so - ive been scratching my head over the front driveshaft.... finally figured it out! Stock slash driveshaft adapter - summit drive shaft coupler - old hinge pin - titanium drill bit and a drill press and this is what i have! now - this has to be directly in line with the front driveshaft which is no big deal. All i have left is the rear driveshaft, tranny mount, and a front bumper to house the winch. |
