THE KEEPER my new class 3 rig

I have built, bought, and sold a lot of rigs in the last couple yrs,and I usually regret doing so. That won't be the case with this one.I have packages arriving in the next few days that will have all the stuff I need to throw this thing together, and instead of starting from a roller as most my rigs did I figured why not buy everything myself as well as do all the tube work (except the sliders-thanks shon) myself. Makes it a little more personal and harder to part with.

Got a package tues from rpp most of the normal parts, the r1 axles, trans and shocks are from a rig I purchased just for these items. I will have my dynamic concepts narrowed eb body Friday. I will be updating as I get farther into the build, so with that said here is the infamous " my stuff showed up!" Pic.

Ya but working in the oilfield is either feast or famine,so ya do what ya gotta do. But not this one my buddy said he'd slap the shit outta me if I do. Mounted the swampers on the gmade gt's mounted axles to chassis. But we all know what they look like so I'm not gonna clutter this up with pics we've all seen

Personly I feel this thread is worthless with out pictures. I am broke and will not spend what I do not have. It calms the savage beast in me to see pictures of great rock crawlers being built.

In time bud, I'm currently out of town working and doing what I can in a hotel room so my tools and supplies are limited for the next couple days

Thanks for the info on the rules ware did you get the body?

tarmo120 03-21-2011 01:07 PM

Could you kindly post a pic of the transferbox off the skid?
I mean I'd like to see where you drilled the holes.
I have the same transferbox, but I was thinking about some adapterplate.

Looks good Steve....can't wait to see what you come up with.

THE Ford is going to be my class2 rig,or hell who knows I may get greedy and build another ttc competitor. But I think it'd look great with 1.9s. By the way how's its coming along
