| Picked up a Courier body the other week for a simple body swap, then started reading thru the scale forum and then this happened yesterday. http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/8567/couier0078gb.jpg http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/6679/couier0066iq.jpg I`m going to take my time with this one so I get it right , so it won`t be a fast build. I have just scratched the surface here so thers lots still to get done. Plans are : 13" WB, 55t, Pede tranny, S. Rooster, Li-Po, RC4WD beadlocks, Moabs, tube over the axle truss/link mount in the rear, lexan fuel cell, build the back of the cab, figure out how I want to mount the cab (no posts), etc. I hope to finish the majority of the tube work next weekend. | Thanks for all the compliments and encouragement, it means alot. Quote:
I figured out a way to do dimpled holes in sheet metal (like this http://www.camburg.com/suspension.html ), I won`t go overboard with it but they will show up in a few spots on the truck. Like I said, progress will be slow, Have to get a cage and some other stuff done on a TJ this comeing weekend and a wheelin trip next, so I may get a little more done this weekend, all depends on how nice the Jeep wants to be this weekend. | |

| Its the VA/NC crowd thats really stepping up and making some nice rigs recently. I am also building a truss for the rear axle mounts for several rigs of mine currently, cant wait to see how yours turn out. Goodluck on the build. Stephen |

| Looking very good. I am currently trying to dimple a couple panels/axle truss/upper shock mounts for a build and just using a nail to provide the dimple into the steel. How are you doing it? Either way keep up the good work and lots of pics. Leach |

| I`m useing an old Nitro MT chassis plate and a 3mm flat head screw and nut, just drill an 1/8" hole where you want it and insert the screw then stick it through one of the counter sunk holes, put the nut on then tighten. I tried punching them with a transfer puch but they would always be off center. |

| Build's coming along nicely. I really like the dimpled metal. I'm going to have to try that on something, it really adds a nice touch. |
