i am planning on using tlt shocks with no springs for a more scale effect.. the wheelbase is about ten inches.. im glad u all like leafs..im getting more fond of them every day. i was thinking about replacing that plastic roll cage with a custom one..do u think that would be a good idea?

I would say leave the plastic cage unless you plan on a full exo.

Since your going for a scale look and you want to use that TJ body, ditch the leaf springs. TJ's are coil sprung, not leaf sprung. If that was a YJ body like the tamiya bodies, then Hell yeah sweet Jeep. But I'm a diehard jeep guy and that just isn't right. I'm not a fan of the TJ's either. I'd rather be square than round other than that, nice build man. isn't it to bad that nobody makes a revolver or z-box shackle for the leafs for the little scales?

It would be to small to be effective. and you really would need the z-boxes to get anything out of the leaf springs. Actually these packs are more like the skyjacker mono leaf kits. where it is just 1 spring. Either way though, a 4-link is a much better choice for a scale truck. But you could always cut the pack in half and make a 3/4 epeleptic rear suspension setup. that would be trick, and yes I spelled epeleptic wrong

You would take each rear spring and cut it about in half. Take and mount the spring to the frame, then make a bracket that would atach the other end of the spring to the axle. then you use a coil spring or coil over shock also. But be aware that this seutp will allow massive amounts of articulation. I would recommend a limiting strap of some sorts. Search for that term on google or another search engine.
