Default scale chev beta 2

so, ive had this clear chev body layin around for a while and i found out that the reason the body and frame didnt line up anymore was because of loose body posts Click the image to open in full size.

Now I've got to do a scale Ford build with the gap between the fenders and the doors like my old '73. Thing sagged so bad i had to put a smaller steering wheel on Gotta love Ohio trucks.

as far as paint, its going to be some form of silver on the inside with olive drab possibly on the outside. i am either going to add a flatbed or tube the back out. its still up in the air right now because a flatbed would be killer, but i have the shock mounts in the way. im gonna be tweaking with it this weekend and see what i come up with. look for more pictures by sunday

Looking real good scott, love the dovetail look. How are you going to mount the rear bed panels? weld in some tabs or something.

this post makes me laugh. youd think i would weld on some tabs and put some nice looking 4-40 button head capscrews to hold everything in place. yeah, um i couldnt figure out a good way to do that so i talked with a friend and he suggested the almighty zip-tie. gotta say it works like a charm though

not a giant update because i forgot to mount the back of the cab before i started painting the frame Click the image to open in full size. . got the frame painted, and the bedsides all painted up. gotta wait for the paint to finally dry on the frame before i can start on painting the cab.
