Default Semi scale powerwagon

This is my current project that was inspired by my visits to RCCrawler. I wanted something that was a capable crawler, but had a nice scale look to it. So I raided the parts box and came out with bent up bruiser frame that got the creative wheels turning. It has standard gear- tlt axles (locked of course) and a pede tranny (locked as well), a narrowed set of hpi split 5 spoke rims and a set of rock rings by Unimoger capped off with a set of moabs. I used all thread to make the 4- links so that I had a 12.5 inch wheel base and thunder tech wideners make it 11 inches wide. Since the photos where taken I've scrapped the upper front 4-link set-up for two reasons 1.under compression the mount came up to high to allow mounting the battery up front 2. way to much axle swing to suit me. I still have a way to go yet, but so far so good.

That is a NICE looking rig! Hopefully you'll put a nice detailed paint job on the body to do the rest of the truck justice!

Wow, nice looking rig, man. If you stand your shocks up more, then your ride will looks more scale, I think.

I love it, the stinger looks great and its a really nice, clean build with good articulation for a scale. Great work.

IronOX- I remeasured the wheelbase of the chassis and it's 12 1/4 instead of 12.5 inches.

I don't know if I'll get to much to the powerwagon for a little while. The motor in my 1:1 jeep decided that it was time to call it quits, so I'll be wrenching on it for awhile.
