Hey guys, how's it going.well i built my first super couple months ago and now me and my boy want to build our first scale crawler..here's a list of everything we've gathered up to use for the build. Its going to have a full roll cage throuout with tire carrier setup in the rear.bodies going to be cut up and painted california orange with 2 white stripes running down the hood and roof.be patient with the build/updates,i work a full time job and im a single dad so probably just like weekends and couple hrs a night so i'll do my best to keep this thread updated!just moking everything up now, made all custom aluminum links front and rear.i was kinda on the fence wether to use the rc4wd tranny or the axial tranny?also i have the 2-14t HH pullers and 35 sports and im not sure which ones to run?like i said, were new and this is our first scaler so bear with us ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

love the new FJ bodies we can get our hands on lately... New Bright? Bring your link length in so the axles sit under the body... more scale look... Unless your going for the all out crawler look with the new FJ flare. Either way i dig it. Good luck. Im also starting my 1st scale build. FJ40 they look so cool. even sitting still! |

Good start to the build. I've always like the FJ. Where did you get the second tube bender from? Does it have different dyes for different diameter tube? |

I say keep the front axle pushed forward, or center the body between the axles. I don't care for the rear axle pushed back look. The motor being that high in the air is going to kill performance. I'd suggest getting it lower. Keep it going. ![]() |

man your really cranking on this build... looks like your staying true to building it outside of the norm... I like that you have your own vision. Great Progress and giving me some cool ideas. ![]() Had a good laugh with the pictures. Does your driver replicate you? ![]() Keep up the cool fab work. are you working with brake line or solid round stock? what diameter? Dont settle for bolt on. make it 100% your own. more pics! im waiting..... |
