| SNARLS Jr a southern buggy with ocp's
First order of business is a huge thank you to Chris (Ecoli) for this outstanding Southern buggy style chassis. Its mean, its big, and surprisingly light. Although I'm a fan of the current mint paint, its going to get powder coated a different green. parts list: Ecoli Southern buggy frame Axial Wraith drivetrain RC4WD coilovers 100mm and 110mm RC4WD rear lower links ( i think they are for some sort of super crawler ) Axial has the rest of the links covered for mock up but new ones are in order. The uppers interfere with the driveshaft so bent uppers may solve that problem...not sure yet Novak Goat 3S hobbico-cs170 cheapo 2.4ghz TX/RX from tower ( TACTIC ) the RX has no antenna 20T motor 2 2200 3S lipos VP diff covers Axial Wraith seats and steering wheel Mayhem Monster XS 2.2 beadlocks 2.2 Boggers SCX10 skidplate VP wraith knuckles, CHubs, tie rod, and draglink. here it is on AX10 axles and junfac windeners now with the AR60 axles, I need new upper links to clear the driveshafts Going with Mayhems for this build, not sure if I will stick with TSL's. Im thinking maybe Boggers...who knows the Wraith on the old AX10 axles, its running the DMG truss on the rear and an Axial truss up front and some kind of plant debris or grass in the hubs Last edited by salmonfacesalad; 08-02-2011 at 04:06 PM. |

So I'm not alone, I too thought the TSL looks weird mounted on that wheel. It formed a small wall near the bead ring. I thought I was doing something wrong and dismounted and remounted the TSL several times but still looked the same.

Thanks for the offer but I seriously doubt this rig will be running anytime soon. It's got a lot to be done, none of which will be by this weekend. I'll just run the Little Raisin and the AX10-Wraith hybrid for now.

Thanks, this is my second southern buggy. The first was a scaled down 1:1, its sold though. heres the link "Sweet Tater" I got it from the Southern Buggy Whore himself...Ecoli Quote:
Im hoping Boggers will fit better, but the TSL's do great down here Ga. I might just live with the weird little wall that formed. Quote:
Oh yeah I felt fustrated, cause the tire locked in there extremely well but looked wrong to me, I was sure it was my fault untill guys chimed in about the same issue. Its not a big deal at all, the wheels are just awesome. Thanks man, i cant wait to see some of your wraith axled builds coming up!

You know I like it Richard ! The Wraith axle is exactly what's needed for this buggy. Now you just need new diff covers (whenever they're released!). A bit of history on the frame, this was the one I had started for Screamin Blue, but never finished once I found out I wasn't going to be able to go to Scale Nats. Richard and I chat regularly and he asked what happened to it. Being a friend, I offered to finish off the frame for him in a Coleworx style and of course Richard jumped on it with the promise of putting Wraith axles under it ! |

Thank you again Chris this chassis is outstanding, and your right it looks perfect with these style of axles. I still hope one day you finish "Sreamin Blue" I was very excited to see you finish that buggy but that does leave me room to jazz it up how I want without having to mimic a 1:1 I'm still loving the dash and steering colum! X2 on metal diff covers, should be soon.
