Default Die-Laughing's Wrecktuber

Update: nearly finished project. check all of the pages for pictures.
here's how it came out:

Hello, Good people of Rcc..

I've decided to start a build thread for my new Wreckluse Tuber I just picked up.
My first crawler is a Axial Honcho Kit that I put together and really enjoyed. I still have it and use it often. its my 1.9 terror.
Now, I want to build a 2.2 truck from the ground up. I expect there will be many changes/customizations to the tube work on this truck as well as many custom machined parts on the truck as I am a Machinist by trade. I already have many idea's in my head but, we'll have to wait and see what happens.
This build is going to be a long term build but, I'll be sure to update the thread as things happen. Yes! There will be pics!

Here's what I will be starting with:
Edit: Got my Wreckluse today from RCPcrawlers.com! Everything looks great!

And here's links to 360* pictures of the frame:

Can't wait to see how this turns out! I also see that you live one town over from me. I am also working on a custom Wreckluse. We will have to get together and do some driving.

Haha.. Thats cool. I met another guy earlier that is a local as well.
Yeah, do you ever check in on the "Illinois" section of the forum?
There might be a get together this weekend for a little bashing/follow the leader type stuff. Ya know, just playin around.
we had a Tough Truck Competition last weekend about 40min south of where we are. It was awesome!

Edit: My wheels haven't come in yet but, I got my spare! 2.2 Humvee / 2.2 Rok Lox! Woo!

I decided to go with more of an unfinished look for my spare so, I sand blasted it. I think it looks good.

Im still waiting for some parts to arrive.. Plus, my new best buddy has been taking up some of my time. Meet Buster!

Plus, I have a radiator & intercooler drawn up at work to make out of aluminum. I have some ideas happening. Stay Tuned.

Haha, no way man. You can fit a 1/4 scale hemi in that box. It was some paint & paint supplies for the hemi build. They used a huge box for some reason.
