Thanks for the props!

You're right, they're never done, but it grabbed your attention didn't it?

Waiting on my DMG truss for the pan hard set up and it should be good to go.

Well I got my DMG pan hard mount from RPP today so after dinner I got right to mounting it up. This thing is beefy and fits perfectly, should be ready to go now.

Need to remove that spacer from the steering link, oops.

Oh yeah, and wheel base is now .25" shorter, 13.75"

Thanks, but I can't take all the credit, spyderwebbcustoms built the chassis, I just modified it a little.

Thanks!

This is my first scale build in a year after taking some time off from RC.

This was my last build which is now owned by Highmark...finished and sold a year ago this month.

Tonight I decided to switch out the 20t Axial Wraith motor to something with a little more wheel speed.... a Reedy Sonic 2 12t Double.

we'll see if it holds up to the abuse but it seems to have good low end and the wheel speed is a lot of fun on 3s

Took the rig out for it maiden voyage this morning and I couldn't be happier with the way it crawls. I did find that the reedy motor couldn't handle the weight and long term running in this rig. It crawled really well, had great speed but got way too hot and effected everything else when it did.
When I got home I switched the motor back to the Aial 20t (for now) and changed the gearing from 57t/10t to 54t/12t and it seems to be better.

I also checked the settings on my bec and Sidewinder and changed a few things. The bec was set at 7.4v so i switched it to 6v and then changed the throttle and brake curves to factory settings.

It's looking beastly! Have you thought about putting a brushless system in it? That would solve your power issues.

Are you planning on coming up to OR in Sept.?

I've been thinking about putting a brushless motor in it but we'll have to see.

I'm hoping to make it up there but I have a lot of work to do before then. Id probably need to get a 4channel radio so I can mount a winch and I still need to get my class 2 rig finished.
