Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

are you going with the 2.2s or the 1.9s to match the 1:1? Either will work, but the 1.9s are more scale. Subscribed."thumbsup"

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

The original plan for spyder6's jk was 42s, so I'm gonna stick with the 2.2s also I already have a jeep on 1.9s and the portal ends make it a bitch to get 1.9s to fit...

Once it warms up a bit I'll get it painted, what's the best way to remove the gay mud off it?

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

Search around...there's a video out there on the WRONG way to remove the mud. Try youtube or google. It will really help you and prevent disaster."thumbsup"

dot4 brake fluid or sandpaper and elbow grease.

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

can a moderator move this to the 1.9 section?

I showed the jk to my buddy whos build im copying, and he said it was WAY too big with the 2.2s, so i modded the portals to accept 1.9s... also added my MTR-ks(two faces) and am working on a bumper now!

I like it a lot better with the 1.9s

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

I like big trucks (and I cannot lie)...but the 1.9s look a lot better. Luckily, the 1.9s out there right now are nice and big. I think it looks great. Hack those fenders back and start rockin!"thumbsup"

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

Yea it seems to work better with the 1.9s as well! Bulldog, I have to give u a little credit too as I forgot u recommended the 1.9s. I'm gonna keep the fenders as full as possible, as I like how the rear tires tuck up in the fender.

that body gives it a nice scale look

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

I tried. The fenders just seem too stock for me. I'm a big fan of the aftermarket modded types. You'll come around!:lmao:

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

I would go with a full set of flat fenders, that would really set it off."thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup".

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

its gonna stay stock fenders for now... my tj had flat fenders, then i ended up cutting them all the way off, this one is suppose to remain more tame, well see how long that happens tho :D

Hmmm. Deja VU all over again. It looks like you managed to save it though. The other fellow didn't fair so well.8) I might not have made myself clear. The video shows a guy doing the same thing with brake fluid and melts the whole front end off! It was kinda funny to hear the disappointment in his voice!

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

hahaha yea i watched that video... and ive had good luck removing part of the dirt, but i wiped it off after a few minutes... i guess i didnt wipe very well  i was able to save it pretty well

http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...r/0d5b4d60.jpg

im gonna try to spray it tomorrow, but i was unable to find the cosmos blue, so i grabbed sail blue so we will have to see how close of a match it is...

Re: "Blue Crush" JK build

I think my color choice is a little lighter than the 1:1... Well see once it is all finished tho
