Default Top-Heavy Hookjaw (aka) Big Bitch

With having a few weeks of having a broken arm gave me sometime to browse my local hobby shop and the net for ideas for a scale rig to build. I have other rigs that need to be worked on but decided to start a new build.

My local hobby shop (aka my work area)

Here is my parts pile so far. Still trying to find a stock LCC chassis with skid plate and the stock LCC Links.

My plans are to cut the back half of L- trail chassis off.

That 1:1 looks familiar, do you know where the owner is based out of?

In any case, great looking rig to build a scaler out of. With 2.2s on the Losi axles, you're going to have a ton of clearance!

Yeah normally I would agree with you but since I have most of it all here. Plus on sunday I bought 18ft of 3/16 brake line.

It is time to get this rig built. I have been dreaming of building this rig for over a year.

Tekin Motor came in today. I also took the body to my bandsaw. I cut on the side of the hood line. That way I would still have the hood line when it is done.

Mail Lady brought me a care package today. Stock LCC Chassis and extra CVD parts.

I just realized that I needed a x-trail not a L-trail chassis. I said screw it since my plans are to cut the back half off anyways.

Took the LCC chassis to the band saw and cut it down to fit the L-Trail chassis.

Just had to mock it up with the body to see where I needed to cut the L-Trail chassis at.
