| Re: Custom Tuber Bug from an LCC Yeah, I have only run it a bit on my backyard pile. Not sure how they will handle on a real course. I will find out on Sunday. Going to snag up a set of Flat irons just in case. :-) These are a real hard tire/foam combo. I weighted it down pretty good so I hope that helps.

Its cool. I will let you know how they do. I tried some crawler foam and it was too soft. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2 |

This did OK at the comp, but the tires are just to hard and not sticky enough. Good in mud and dirt awful on rocks. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2 |

Well, I thought this thing did pretty well at the comp for it's first time out. The tires were garbage and I need a winch, but it handled like a dream and side hilled and hill climbed quite well. I just didn't have enough scale points to make it worth anything so again, I am following Jesters advice and added an interior. There's really no room inside this thing, but I saw this Styrofoam banana holder today in the kitchen and had an epiphany! So here's what I came up with. Just got to add a steering wheel and seat back behind the driver. It's not a full driver but still some points. Do you think it will work? :-) |

I have to find a glue that doesn't eat right thru the foam. Then sculpt some seats and dash components to actually make the interior able to count for scale points.

More work on the interior. Hope this meets GDB's approval for partial 3d interior. I glued together a dash and steering wheel. Then I blinged it out. And of course a Sunpro Tach! Then I colored the seat and added seat belts. Trimmed the whole tray to attach with velcro for removal. VW for the steering wheel. Shoulder straps so he wouldn't fall out. Made some inner fenders to hide all the electronics. And we're ready to rock! |

Nice job! Just as a FYI for future foam working there is foam safe CA glue that makes working with foam soooo easy. There are many different brands but I use Super Jet Foam Safe CA.

I ended up using a foam same epoxy and some marine silicone. Worked good. Second comp today on those tires. They are no good. Couldn't get any real bite on the rocks. They work good in dirt and mud, but not very good on the rocks. Guess I will switch to Flat Irons for now until I get the TSL's.

I tried and the tire folded. Switching to tsl. I love the 1.9 version so the 2.2 should work for me. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2 |

Rocking the TSL's now and loving them. They hook up awesome! I love the look and since the 1.9s do so well on my Tundra, I think I will love the big ones. |

Sweet photo. Are the new tires hard or soft compound?
