| Re: Custom Tuber Bug from an LCC I think they are the G8 stuff. Nice and sticky. I like them. The center lugs have been trimmed which seems to give them a bit more bite. They have custom foams with a memory type foam and a soft/medium out ring. They work great. But now my steering servo is acting up. Not sure what the deal is with it. Going to tear it down and clean it.

I like the look of the new tires. Did you buy them new or did you get some used ones?

Dude I got carried away and over did it, now I don't think it'll fit... I have an idea for a much simpler metal design but I need better dimensions of your esc balloon. Looks cool sitting on my shelf if nothing else Speed |

I could see if it fits. It not send it back. It is awesome looking. Seems a shame to get it in a crawler that sees mud and such. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2 |

Mud is good for it. Makes it look more realistic. I think you should put it in!

Actually I skipped a ton of steps since it was intended to be abused... but I am pretty proud of the distributor... and the coil... well most of it lol I'll make a second version outta sheet aluminum today, a little more practical one. For the exhaust I was thinking a giant pixie stick split down the side to form the cone stinger, then wedge that with some e6000 into your header elbow I cleared the bejesus outta it so it could be hosed off! It's not as fragile as it looks either. The intake stacks are sunk into the foam @3/8" and held in place with wood glue. The distributor shaft is 4-40 allthread and runs clear through the motor, it can even be backed out for maintenance! The rest of it is 3grams of foam covered with 5oz of paint

I know how that is though, my wraith has 5 pounds of crap in a 3 pound bag and moving my esc would be a ton of work |

Nope, this one has a single zip strip holding it in. I just stuck it to that x member because it was easy. :-)

Holy crap I'm jealous. I so could use one of the engines for my build. That looks nuts and a MMP would likely fit too... Awesome detail on the interior Tin. Keep it up. |

So you like the sheetmetal one? gets you your point, flirts with scale lol I'd show you some fresh pics but its clamped in a vice right now. What color do you want the block? the alternator is black again but different. I made a sheet metal crank pulley cover, foam belt, and the JB welds curing for another dist and coil. Your getting red wires this time... Did you like the intakes? that's sorta easy to do too. Quote:
PM me we can talk. I will say though I received some of parts I've been waiting on so for the next week or so I'll be busy.

HAHA!! Yeah avanord also has a bug class 3 and runs with me at events. The color of the bug pain are black and silver, but that red sure stood out before. I PM'd you on the exhaust pipes. I noticed in the pix that the exhaust ports exit from the bottom of the manifolds and then come out the back. That's cool. I could put the motor in and then attach the pipes from the bottom thru the frame, then I wanted to have like twin mega phone stacks that would stick up between spare and body. I think your idea of flexi straws would work. Just hit them with some silver paint or something. :-) Heres what the exhaust normally looks like. And here is a baja exhaust. Maybe I only want one pipe instead of two. Two doesn't seem to exist any that I can find. Last edited by Tin Soldier; 08-04-2012 at 06:49 AM. |

Speedweigand had sent me this pic. I wish I could find more. I didn't base my rig on this one, but I am happy to know that I was not completely crazy in build an off road bug. |
