So I got some more wheel time in with this. Currently working on the video for it. The rear servo is loose, but I ordered some mounts. Hope they will be here in time. Even without all the flex I used to have, it still drives pretty good. I left the slipper clutch in so that I can spare my drive train parts until I can afford metal gears. The Integy driveshaft kept coming loose, so I drilled some holes in them to get the set screw down tight. :-) As always this thing is a beast!! Thankfully I built it pretty solid, and once I get the rear shocks towers fixed, it will have it's flex back and dominate! Hahaha! SO looking forward to this comp on Saturday!

You think? I liked dominate. Actually, I most worried about it Don shows up again. He killed us all last time, bad. The competition between you me and Adam is perfect. We are within just a few points of each other and I love that.

What are you talking about I am down like 100 points. But I am launching my comeback this weekend. The big drives more like my comp crawler used to. And with steel drive shafts. Hopefully no breakage this comp.

That scoring really doesn't mean that much since we each get to drop our worst score and all it takes is a few super course runs to correct your standings. :-) It's not as far off as the numbers say.

Are you sure you should use steel driveshafts? I think you should put the old plastic ones back on...

Cracked open the axles tonight to install some OD gears and change out to CVDs and found this lovely mess. I never checked them before since I was short on time. They spun, so I threw them in. :-) Also, couldn't get the one drive shaft off. It had an allen wrench broken inside it. I tried to drill it out, but it's stuck.

FYI SCX axles aren't water proof... I had some like that too. To make matters worse the stock bearings are metal shielded and have metal races...so the shields rust to the balls. I had to drill a hole in my workbench so I could beat the axles out of the bearings. Mine was a used one too but I knew mine had the piss beat out of it.

Did you mean underdrive? Overdrive in a crawler is kinda weird unless its the over/under deal.

Yeah I should have checked them. I put od in front axles and leave rear stock. This makes an under over situation.

Finally had an hour to replace the trashed CVDs from the last comp. The C Hub shifted on one side and made the CVD slide out of the locker and round out. I got new CVDs and new HD lockers and swaped them both out. The new ones look just slightly longer then the old which may have been some of my problem in the first place. But now I have tons of turn.

Sad day today. After winning the winter series by 81 points with this rig this winter, I needed some cash for a trip and put it up on the block. It's getting shipped out to Fishbait today. I hope enjoys it as much as I did and has a great comp season with it. It has served me well and was awesome to build.
