Default Original "Betty" found and restored

I recently made a trade on here with another member and i got a little more than i was expecting. The other trader sent me some pics as i sent him some of my rig. After closer inspection,i realized it was "Betty".For those who dont know, this frame was built by Hulk, then another member in Hawaii wound up with it.We also have to include JIA (jason in augusta) as he writes articles for the crawler mags.Well,JIA ended up with "Betty" and did a complete rebuild and write-up.This was a beautiful rig and i enjoyed reading the article ,Skip forward to present day. After receiving "Betty" i discovered it still had all the original parts still bolted on.The only thing that wasnt there were the RC4WD Rockstar wheels, the original lockrings were still attached.though.Some stock Axial 8 holes have found there way on the rig. The tires had been swapped out for 2.2 Roc Loks.I immediately tore it down, stripped the frame, made new body panels and located the original Tribal stickers from the Hi-Lux.I also made a new bed panel out of some sheet lexan and installed a Tractor Supply miniature tool box for some scale points.Although,i probably wont run this rig too much as it is kinda a legend in the RC crawling world. .....Let me know how it looks

HaHa Corky, its not quite ready for heavy trail action yet.I havent waterproofed it yet and it has a crappy servo for steering.I havent had the funds to get a high torque one yet,but it will be there..

How funny.. I just pulled my back issues out of storage cause we finally put together a room I can set up in.. I remember this being a very inspirational issue. I read it over and over.. only to realize my skills wouldn't ever get to that level.. maybe one day. Crazy though she's still around.
