WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 Originally built by ScaleReady, this buggy is the second of Phillips awesome southern buggy chassies built based off of Adam Woodlee's Blower buggy. ScaleReady has been a sponsor of mine for a while and has become a very good friend of mine and am very happy to own this rig and rep his work. Here is where he started out with the rig: http://i894.photobucket.com/albums/a...lly1/twin1.jpg I recently traded Phillip my "Sas'd and linked Tacoma" For this rolling chassis, making this my first southern buggy. Now, as you can tell this buggy is much different than the actual blower buggy. This thing is narrow, and definetly will not have 850hp and Rockwells. Maybe one day though. Here is where I got to when I first got it today. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/001-29.jpg http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/002-26.jpg http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/003-25.jpg And of course, I had to get some styrene out and so I built a slick looking hood for it. I consider this the coolest thing Ive built out of styrene. Ive backed it with epoxy, so hopefully it will bend and dent instead of snapping and cracking when Its ass whuppin time. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/004-27.jpg http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/005-25.jpg In the massive box this rig came in, were two awesome looking DH pro comp wheels. I tossed on my set of cut boggers, and decided I need 2 more of these wheels because they just look wicked on this thing  http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/006-19.jpg http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/007-20.jpg As for my drivetrain: AX-10 axles with custom trusses by ScaleReady Wraith Trans MIP driveshafts Electronics I am up in the air about right now. It may have to live on a Traxxas motor and a B1R until I can figure something else out... All of my electronics have been blowing up this week... Any comments and suggestions are welcome, I am new to this southern buggy thing "thumbsup" I hope you guys like it! |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 I like what you have done to this"thumbsup" I hope you get the power train figured out for nationals. make this thing put the hurtin on some people. That hood looks really good too. I still have this piece of bent up aluminum from when I was gonna do a hood. You nailed it."thumbsup" |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 Thanks buddy! I really appretiate it!! And Im working on the power train.. Theres got to be something deep inside the motor causing it to lock up like its doing. Its perfectly fast enough to bring the hurt on some but It just wont work... |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 looking good colby! rockstars will look good on it! "thumbsup" |

Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 if you can find some axial scx hubs.. grind'em down on the base till they fit and they'll go good with the wheels. here's mine.. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/IMAG1018.jpg |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 Wow! I definetly have 4 of those downstairs. Will be using them for sure  |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 nice looking rig man. Hood looks nice. |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 Thanks man!! "thumbsup" Tossed in a 13.5t on 3 cell and ohmergurrshh  AMAZING fun "thumbsup" that is... until I fried the spur gear. Got some 32p stuff on the way though. |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 those wheels are badass too btw. Stick with the stock hub covers IMO. |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 I know  I cant wait to see them in person! and we will see how the hub thing goes. May leave them may not, hopefully they will be here tuesday "thumbsup" |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 Lookin good Colby. "thumbsup" I really like the hood, give the look of a hot rod with a big cowl induction hood. You gonna stick with orange? Those Rockstars will look sick on it. I like the black with the big silver rings. "thumbsup" |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 Thanks Griz!! I guess my PM was just in time since you just posted this. The hood will be contrasting with the other colors of the rig. "thumbsup" Glad you like it buddy! |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 glad to see the new project....this rig needs a Pro4 all day"thumbsup" |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 Thanks buddy! Maybe one day  For now 13.5t on 3s is plenty. The axles are bone stock as well  |

Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 I got everything except the beef toobz to make that happen  though... I think the narrowness will help me some with the hill climbs. We will see after nationals "thumbsup" |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 Experimenting with some color on the hood and a little rep to ScaleReady "thumbsup" What do you guys think? I tossed the VP wheels on there because they kind of have the same color as the rockstars. If the rockstars make my rig this wide or wider, im going to be one happy redneck  http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/004-28.jpg http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/002-27.jpg http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...RRR/001-30.jpg Sorry for the blurry ass pics, will get better ones tomorrow after I shorten up the rear links a hair. "thumbsup" |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 Awesome!"thumbsup" Hmm.. I may have another package to send you:mrgreen::mrgreen: |
Re: WOD Blower Buggy Inspired "Tennessee Ferarri" #2 You like? and that sounds good to me "thumbsup" You know where I live, wont have time to get them under this thing for nats I dont think. We will see  |
