Default 85toycrawler's TTC-ish Ford

Well I guess this all started with me being bored looking at builds on here. I got to looking at the 2.2 scale thread and that's where it hit me. All those guys building Wroncho's and TTC rigs got me all giddy and made me feel like building something. Also as it turned out, I had just taken ownership of this rig once again. I think this is the 4th time I have owned this truck. A buddy of mine got out of rc all together and I ended up with all of his stuff. So here we are after a couple days in the garage.

Let me know what you guys think. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. This thing is no where close to as nice as a lot of the builds on here, but I'm happy with it so far.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to Icer. One for getting me some extremely needed parts. Without him this thing would still be in pieces.

Specs:

scx10 frame rails
wraith skid
scx10 aluminum shocks
scx10 tranny with a VP dig
traxxas digital waterproof dig servo
Hitec 7995 steering servo
Integy 35t motor
Sv2 Sidewinder esc with CC Bec
Spektrum Tx/Rx
AR60 Wraith axles with the Universals
Tamiya Ford cab with some 3/16" steel rod thrown at it
R35 Ripsaws on XR10 Beadlocks
2.2 tsl's are on the way, just need some wheels for them.

This is how it all started

Front end swapped

Roller

Basically done, ready for final welding a test run and then paint. Oh and I need to figure out a winch mount and buy a grill.

I want to do something up front. I need to get the grill on, and possibly build a CMS kit for it. That's partly why I posted it up on here. I'm fresh out of ideas for a front bumper..

Thanks guys, the 1st 2 pics are from a trail called Warpath. One of the biggest in NM. Last pic is a little place called Faulkner Canyon. Gotta love NM wheelin. Too bad I won't be here much longer, leaving for basic training at Ft. Benning in January. Looking forward to seeing some other wheeling spots.

Ordered a new Ford body and grill yesterday. I will start the front tube work once everything gets here. My only concern is the location of the grill in proximety to the servo.. Not real sure what to do at this point. Give me your thoughts RCC....

Here is my only concern with that. The front end is pushed forward past the frame rails. I can add some frame with no issue. But if I mount the servo directly above where it sits not it will hit the grill. I could move the body forward some too I suppose, then just bend up another main hoop over the cab...

What if I turned the servo 90* and made it vertical with the servo arm pointed forward?

I know you can never really call one of these builds "finished", but here are the latest pics. I'm still looking into running a Wraith interior and making the hood functional for easy battery access. What do you guys think?
