I have actually thought about going for a second major in college and doing welding and diesel mechanics instead of just diesel.

Rear end is done, I am trying to decide if I should do the front hoop and motor cage with smaller tubing. I strayed away from the Goblin design on accident on the roof and part of the rear, though I dont think you really will notice it unless you are staring right at it. Ive got alot of dremel and weld grinding to do, Maybe have some green paint on it by saturday ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Don't rush it! These buggies are complicated. Get all your little tubes done and don't skimp on the little scale details. If you're going to build it...build it right. Any shortcuts will haunt you. Trust me! ![]() ![]() |

Thanks man! The only thing haunting me at the moment is how in the world im going to bolt the engine cage on. Its going to have to have some tiny hardware. I may braze those on.but im not sure it could handle the abuse its going to get put through.

Go ahead and start the cleanup on the welds now before you cant get into all the little areas as easy. Keep it coming.

Actually, youd be surprised but with the skid plate out I am able to get every angle of this thing with a dremel ![]() No more invisible axles!! ![]() I love this thing, even if its not perfect, and if it doesnt closely copy the real goblin. All thats left is motor cage, clean up, paint, and ass kick and be proud of myself because I 100% fabbed this thing from nothing in 2 days in my garage. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Because I've been there...what are your plans for steering? And from the last pic in post 27, are you planning on running semi droop? I don't see enough suspension travel room in there! Post up. ![]() |

As far as steering, i mocked it up just siyting on the axle and rverything clears just my the smallest amount when flexing. As far as suspension it isnt droop at all, i actually had to put some long esavage rod ends on the front shocks to get more length. It just sags a little because its heavy lol. ![]() |

Looking great Colby. Really glad to see you went with the 3/16" tubing, suits those big meats on there.

![]() ![]() Yeah, I noticed the 1/8 in the bracing areas. Probably a smart move, especially when dealing with such small pieces. It doesn't take away from the look at all. Are you planning on rattle can or pc'ing the frame once finished?
