They are pretty much the same trannies...the output shafts on the wraith are a little different, that's all. And of course you run Robinson gears and hardened output shafts anyway...or should.

Look forward to your build Chris..Your Cluse looks good
Are you running AR60 axels ???

Rained most of the weekend here...or at least too much moisture in the air to re-paint the metal hood....I did get it stripped back down to the metal. The paint just peeled off. That's what you get when you use plastic paint on metal

Live and learn

Was planning on going with an ax10 trans. Or whatever I can find in my price range. Still should work right?

Postclanker, Yours looks good to. What trans ya running?

Also what drive shafts did you use to get the 13" wb?

I used a Wraith kit and replaced the the main gears with the Robinson gears, main gear and idler gear. Also replaced the output shafts with the hard anodized gears. I haven't had any issues with the tranny at all.

It really depends on what you are running for power train as to how beefy you need to get. I'm running a HH 35t with a 3cell lipo with MIP shafts....

I was thinking on going with a scx10 trans. But not sure what shafts would extend out to a 13.25 wb??? Any ideas?

I believe...but don't quote me...that Traxxas makes an extended shaft. I used the MIP's for a wraith and they did ok...they barely fit but worked. The hard part was making the links. I made 3 pr 4 sets for the front alone before getting it right.

If you are using AR60 axels on the Wreckluse ...post up some pictures when you get that far and we can help...it's a challenge to get it right, but much better stability wise (in my opinion anyway...wider). I extended my rear after the first crawl with it. I think mine is right at 13" now.

Thanks alot. I am working with another member who told me about those shafts you mentioned. Awaiting a pic before I buy em. I have a set of the axles on order just waiting for em to hit the mailbox. I will definitely post some photos on it. I put my wraith upside down for a quick look/see and I did notice its a bit wider than the losi axles with junfac wideners that I got with it. Kinda liked it better and the OCP makes it look even nicer. Just my opinion though. the chassis width is a bit wider that the wraith so the axle width doesnt drown out the chassis. I wish they would start making lexan bodies a bit wider for some custom builds. It would definitely make it easy for axle selections too. Thanks for the help and Ill keep ya tuned in with the build.

Post, yes Im using the AR60's , Wraith trans and I got Axial links in the sizes on RCP web site but needed to add some spacers on the upper links to get my pinion angles the way I wanted. Im also running MIP shafts in it but I think one is wraith and one is dingo length. The next one my have a bit longer wheelbase not sure yet but I have another set of AR60's so its gonna get them.

Links are pretty easy to build Blue...cheaper too
3/32 all thread...or 4mm if you can find it, some revo rod ends and some 1/4" break line....you're good to go...you could even paint them
I like to make as much stuff as I can...it's a big part of this hobby for me

Post,
yeah I have made links before , Im planning on the Revo ends so I will have to use other links i think, Revo ends are bigger than 3mm inside. I will also be using a Wraith as a parts vehicle , axles ,interior parts .

Spider, post up some pics and show what you have going

Yes Revo's are larger than 3mm inside...actually ran across some 4mm all thread, fit snug as a bug. Beefier link as well...wrap them in brake tubing and you could probably stand on them

Well, maybe not...

Yep revo rod ends are intended for m4. Even after using and re-using revo rod ends, i have yet to rip one out. Now the axial m3 ends are a different story...

Funny enough, I did stand on a couple links to get the bend I wanted. 8-32 allthread and stainless tube make for a tough link.

they'd better bend if you're standing on them big guy... after all the tube bending you and I have been doing, you reverted to standing on one...????

I'm dying here...what a visual...
