Trenton does make a nice platform to work from. Looking great!
Thanks for that link! Gotta pick one up. My harness is kinda janky... I couldn't be happier with Trenton's work. Today I hope to get some rock time!

Well, took Elmo out today, and she did really good. She pulled some pretty amazing lines. I was a little nervous because my esc, 1300 battery, and my 3-D motor are pretty bias towards the rear, but it didn't seem to matter. She hugged the terrain great, due to the low slung shock setup and my CI foams.

Made an exhaust / muffler recently. Picked up some copper (or brass, not sure) tubing from Ace hardware. I got 2 different diameters. Squeezed the larger diameter in my vice to get the shape of the muffler, then used some putty to ""center" the exhaust, and drilled some styrene end caps. Held it all together with some contact cement. Painted, and installed with a screw from below. It's really solid.

A little update here. I went back to the R35 ripsaws, and shaved the sidewalls. They are a little taller and thinner then the tsl's, and I think they look better. Plus, they flat out hook-up like crazy.

Also ave been playing around with different size drivers. I felt like my old one was a little too small, so I bought this 8 inch Star Trek figure. Dyed his clothes. Being that this is a comp buggy, he needed a helmet, so I modeled one outta bakable clay.

I think with the new driver, the proportions are perfect.

Low and super capable! This thing performs!

Actually chassis was built by Mr. MG200 above.

Like the the low slung stance, it gives some rigs a mean look.

I've only got about 2 hours of runtime, but this weekend is looking real nice out. So far, she is performing awesome.

Trenton did it! I love your 1.9 single-seater comp buggy you just built. Why you selling it?

Yeah, she's a belly dragger! Smart driving, and she can get up and over almost anything.

Next up is vacuum forming a new hood, and some inner front fender lining (looks a little naked up there).

i didn't build the chassis i took it on trade, i added the rear motor and panels.,i am selling it because i want to run my own design.
mg 200 sure does some sick work and is always improving you can tell he is dedicated to his work.
are you still using the r2 tranny? how is the speed?

Yes, still running the HD r2 tranny. It's low, and semi-flat. Paired with my 21T torguemaster, I get 5mph! (according to Brian G's speed calculator on rc-monster), which seems right. It's faster than a brisk walk, but slower than my running pace. Vrooom!

This is all on 1300 3s batteries. It's fast enough for a "We Rock-ish" buggy, and it has gobbs of wheel speed when needed. Not concerned with speed with this one. More of a purpose built rig.

Winter is long, so I tinker a lot. Wasn't 100% happy with the 3d motor I made because it was a fictitious engine, heavy, and sat too far back on the frame. So I made a new 350 motor.

Air intake is round disks from the Wild Willy's parts tree and some corrugated styrene:

Made a distributor cap from an old axial hub and added some wires from a fried servo:

Made a new exhaust. I think the overall set up looks pretty good:

Topped it off with an EXO radiator:

Shouldn't you put the exhaust away from the air filter so it doesn't suck in hot air? lol Nice truck, nice build
