Thanks Shane. I really like this combo too. I also like the narrower track width. Pulls the proportions in.

Also swapped out my Tekin 13.5 with the Roc 3100. Still running the same gearing as my 13.5 (54:12), and holy shit... Such a different animal. Very smooth low end, and even a little bit more top end. Not sure why the top end seems faster since it's 3100 vs my old 3500kv. Must be a difference with 2 vs. 4 pole.



Only drove it for 10 minutes before I froze my ass off and said screw it (too cold).

Next up dipping the sensor board in some Corrosion X, and waterproofing it.

Dropped my ROC and MMP into some Corrosion X. Simple enough. Sealed up the motor leads, sensor wire, and BEC with some silicone.





One thing that had always added significant weight was my full driver, the dash and interior, and the .22 gauge homemade seat. That whole set up was nearly a pound.

Not a concern when it was a dedicated slow comp crawler, but now with the added speed with the ROC 3100, I opted for a new, way lighter 2D cockpit. I hacked up the HPI Apache cockpit, and kept it a single-seater. The overall buggy is a lot lighter (and way easier to work on). The cock pit is pressure fitted into the frame and held into place with 2 3mm screws. It's pretty secure, and fits like a glove. Added some small paint details as well.

I think the new driver scales out great.







As soon as this ice storm lets up, I will get her out on the rocks.

They are available in any craft store in the yarn section. I believe they are for crochet? They are under a buck a piece and come 8.5 x 11 in multiple colors.

A few updates:
- installed Locked Up's FI lockers front and rear. These things kick ass.
- completely rebuilt my shocks with 7000wt diff fluid. Green slimed the o-rings. We will see how well they hold fluid. Not 100% happy with these shocks. May step up to some Velvets.
- new diff covers (yay, bling)

And of course since we all just got done watching the King of the Hammers, I decided to see what a spare tire looks like. Just a temporary solution with a 3/16 cable tie down:

It's not permanent. I was just having fun after watching KOH.

So, I decided to make this a strict W.E. Rock unlimited cone dodger. I am hoping axial will release an ifs rig shortly to fill the ultra4 class (emphasis on hoping).

Added a 7955 rear servo with VP chubs and steering. This is so much fun to drive with the new set up. Flexes awesome, and the tires are finally softening up.

A few packs threw her this week with the amazing temps, and I am liking it.

3D printed a new battery tray. I like it. It was a quick project to learn sketch up in our new Makers Space. Batts feel way mure secure, and I don't have to rely on Velcro...

Finally had enough with the King shocks. They are the absolute worst. Seriously, the worst.

After checking out a few setups I decided to go with some 4in big bores for a few reasons:
1. They are relatively inexpensive.
2. If they can handle the abuse from 35mph traxxas rigs, the can definitely handle my little crawler.
3. Fully tunable. Shane is tuning them with the RPM pistons. I may try the MIP pistons in a bit.
4. Love the JeepinDoug mini t spring set ups.
5. They have never let me down in the past.

I set this up with 30wt oil, and the softest mini t springs. It gives my comp crawler the stance I want, and being so low it handles great at speed.

I also sold my enduros and picked up some of Eddie's 6 Bolts. These are super nice. And dropped a lot of weight.

I drove a few packs threw her today and was super impressed. Way better performer then the kings in every way. Stuck to the rocks like a spider, and bolted in a straight line at take offs.

Oh yeah. I been slacking on the updates. I did get it up and running. Ran it yesterday.

I do need to figure out how to mount a servo winch somewhere in the chassis. It pretty small chassis.

Never touch the shocks. I want to like them, but since they don't hold oil whatever you do them. They be will be replaced with bomber king shocks. I also threw on rock beast on 1" Slw wheels.
