That bolt on part looks pretty trick, What size is the tubing that you tapped for the bolt? I might have to give that a go.

It's 3/16" tube that is tapped, and the sliders are 1/4" for the reduced head size bolts to fit inside. You will need to drill the 3/16 tube out to 3.5mm for the 6/32 bolts to fit through. I just tap the tube as it is, it's a great size already. | |

Managed another few hours on this today, got the front done and started adding additional bracing around the windscreen and a couple on the tray.

And a few more pics. Im waiting on the SCX10 chassis to arrive, then i can start the suspension mounts and get the diffs under it. Then the sandblast and paint job to make it look real nice and clean. The frame will be gloss black. |

Time for a well overdue update! Had to get a new laptop so took a while to get one to start uploading the pics again. This rig is back with the owner now, but here is what happened over the build Received the SCX10 chassis, and made some new upper link mounts to suit the Berg diff seperation. |

Next was to make some shock hoops, as long as possible. The front hoops have about 3mm clearance from the underside of the bonnet. The rears poke through into the tray, I cut out a section of the tray and that will have a separate styrene plate cut out to hide everything and cut neatly around the shocks and hoops. |

Finished off the steering on the Berg diffs and made 6mm alloy steering and arms using a mixture of 3 and 4mm traxxas rod ends. The Exo and chassis also copped a sandblast job and a coat of paint! Pretty happy with how they have come out |

And a pic from the fella who I built it for, decisions on what rims/rubber to use. Also he's deciding wether to use these diffs under another project and run SCX10 diffs and 1.9's. Ill update when he makes his mind up |

if you don't mind me asking, what material are you using for the tubing? looks to be 1/4" aluminum using the torch/solder method but I am unsure of this.

Majority of the cage is 3/16" steel tube and 1/4" steel tube brazed together. There is a new thread on this rig in the 1.9 section under "Patches the exo'd lux" |
