Thanks again! It's getting there, I'm still on the fence with what I will do with the tube work and body.

Small update. Started working on the drive train, since it is SCX10 based and I want to have as much of a 3D interior as I can. I first mode a couple of new link plates that replace the stock SCX10 skid. Dimension wise they use the same basic location as the skid, but I moved the upper links up 3/8" and the lowers are at the same height, but now right under the frame rails. Moving the lower outward still keeps some decent triangulation and helps reduce the severe angle on the rod ends when using straight links. The picture of the front shows dual bend links, but I will be using straight links like the rears. The new upper link location was an effort to aid in drive line troubles when using AR60 with the SCX10 chassis, in combination with the Axial trans now serving duty as a t-case. I should have plenty of room for a detailed interior. As for the drive, ie: motor and gearing to the t-case, I plan to fab a plate that will hold the Axial spur and motor then be couple via drive shaft to the t-case. I just wanted to be able to have the same gearing options as with a stock trans. More to come on that later, I'm waiting on some flanged bearing yet.

Very cool! This is giving me motivation to get to work on mine. Sadly, it has gained a patina similar to the Fjuggy's.

I like the Wheels, i'm definitely picking up a set with all the goodies. Are you running the scale hubs too?

Thanks Jon! You better get to work, the JK is way too cool to sit around!

You'll love the Locked Up wheels! They definitely nailed the scale! And yes, I'll be running the scale hubs as soon as I pick up a set

Long time no update...since I'm going to use the AR60's on my other build F-Ruggy, I needed to build a new set for this one. So decided to build a set of AXR 10's to help deal with my width issues. Collected everything I needed to build a good set, including Gripfab stainless lockers, Fast Eddie bearings, Axial under and over drive gear and Axial aluminum chubs and knuckles.

Not really, I think I may go with the Curries once VP get's the XR length tubes done, and since I have all the parts to put in them. I'm going to stick with the centered pumpkins on this one.

Yea I usually don't go for too much bling, but I think they will look good. Oh it hasn't been forgot, just swapping parts around and lots of irons in the fire. That's why I built the JK, so I could have at least one out of the four running.

Yep! Thanks Cory! I always knew that the AR's were not exactly what I was after. The XR width is perfect, now I need to get the wheelbase spot on. I'm thinking 13" will be the sweet spot.

Thanks DJ! Yea I only like the height of the Ripsaws, but waiting for the new Axial BFG's now. Hopefully they will be out soon. Wheel base will need to be just a hair shorter to fit into the rules, the axle is just a bit past the rear tube work.
