That cheap mod has saved me quite a bit of cash. Just make sure you monitor them and replace as needed.

Glad I was able to retain that information from the mass that is a "Harley Build Thread". Your part by part lists really help.

The bearings wouldnt even last 10 minutes. We'll see how long the bushings hold up this Saturday at the ECC Scaler Jam.

I did the bushing trick last year and it works, but the bushings will oval out like crazy!!!! Still better than a blown bearing Just check the play on the pinion every pack to see how they are holding up. I let it go too long and I locked up the front end. Thank god axial's hardened gears are tough as nails

Farmer why would an oil lite bushing with some grease oval out so fast on ya? Something bent, I only ask I ran them in a clod buster and literally at least 100 packs on stock plastic gears to and I pulled apart for bearing upgrade and new gears I used waterproof lithium grease and really it all looked pretty damn good the plasti bushing were shot of course.

Thanks guys. The bushings held up for two laps at the ECC Scale Event and some parking lot bashing. I broke a couple shocks, lost the fuel cell and busted a revo rod end just messing around. Had a good time running this truck. Not the greatest at crawling but a decent trail rig.

Landed this jump twice when I was running the course on the clock. Just messing around in this video.

Thanks Josh. I was driving my Twin Hammers and Rootar was driving the KOH. Rear pinion bearing didn't last long but I have since fixed that as show above.

And I have made some upper link adjustments since then.

I had a set a while back that I modded for SLW hub use. I should have never sold them. Luckly I found a set and broke out the dremel to shave off the hex area of the wheel flush.

Another 2.2 KOH rig will be started soon.

The first Set I modded was for the ol' IFS Wraith I built waaaaayyyy back in 2012.

Got to fondle this rig today. Cool stuff. Guess I need to look in the 2.2 section more often.

Glad you are still enjoying it. It was fun to build that IFS Wraith.

Rebuilt this rig and it now resides in the Crawler Innovations garage. Wheel and tire combo stayed with me.
Tons of fun building and driving this rig.
