Cheap and sleazy update! I'm waiting on a few things to clear out before I nail this thing together. Here's a little tease of how things will look. The roof and front fenderwells will be black. I'll be using the narrowed wraith axles from Carterfab on this. Wheels and tires are up in the air. Don't know if some enduros will make it on this rig or not! This is all you get for a while!

Thanks for looking! Updates in a few months.

All the rigs got some love yesterday.

Finally got the skins mounted and they look killer!!! Thanks Neal!

Unfortunately, VP hadn't released the smaller rigids when I needed them, so the maddog lights made the team.

I just noticed this for the first time!!! Look at the stereo. Neal knows his shizzle. Too cool!

The wrinkles you see in the skins are where the aluminum bends around the tubes. They actually laid down really nicely given the panels had some dings.

I was dreading putting the skins on the hood, but like all things, the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Very easy.

Neal and I worked on all the little details of the interior. Notice that the orientation of the vanquish logo is correct in almost every panel.

Quick mockup. Panels are being painted.

Shining up the roof panel. It will be black

That's all I've got for the moment. More to come.

Another cheap update. I thought I had an extra set of vp links so I could get this thing on it's feet, but I didn't. RPP to the rescue. Some pics to pass the time.

Got the rear panels painted.

Bomb proof tranny from supershafty and the roostmaster general.

That's it for now.

Big day,

Time to get this thing rolling!

Axles are installed. Keep in mind these are Carterfab modified wraith axles. We took 9/16" off both sides.

I was really hoping to be able do my behind the steering trick. Luckily, things worked out! They usually don't happen that easily! Today was a good day!

Things get a little tight, but everything works flawlessly!

Full compression!

The other thing Clay and I did was re-engineer the 3link truss. I think I had him take about 1/8 or 3/16 off the the height and drop the actual hole a bit. In a setup like this one or my screamin 2 build, there's just no room for anything up front.

That's all I've got. Shocks are going to be an issue. I'm praying Vanquish gets into the shock market before I finish this. PLEASE VP!!!
There are a lot of little stupid things to get together. Stay tuned. Thanks for looking!

I couldn't possibly be any happier that this truck went to you. I am proud to have owned the chassis and seeing it being redone so well.

Fantastic work.

Thanks Josh. I've really enjoyed spending time with this chassis. Working on this chassis is a dream compared to my southern buggy! There's so much room to move!

I'm really excited to get it together and get some killer desert footage. We have a lot of desert out here. It should make for a great set of pics and videos. Today was one of those days that everything fell in line perfectly. Not common in custom builds. I'll take it. More to come.

I just finished reading Harley's epic thread on this chassis, I like it alot. Alot of good info in that thread. Glad to see this chassis is being built up again. looking really nice.

Got a newbie's question though, what are those shocks you put on this?
